MVP Summit 2011 preview

Hi folks,

I am off to Redmond to attend this years MVP Summit, taking place from 02/28 to 03/02.


I am really excited to meet with the Windows Embedded product team to discuss the latest technical news. It is also a great opportunity to meet and network face to face with my fellow MVPs.

Hi all,
new updates for Windows Embedded CE are available for download. Some issues have been resolved, no time to loose and get them now! More information for each update is provided in the Readme document available after the individual update(s) has been installed.

• 110112_KB2437113 - This update addresses an issue with CDROM detection and an error that occurs when ejecting CD.

• 110118_KB2482648 - After a suspend-resume operation, any storage volume whose partition type is Microsoft Installable File System (MSIFS) gets remounted as a different volume name. Explorer window to that storage volume gets closed and is inaccessible.

Article about SWE und EB GUIDE in Embedded Computing Design

The article Microsoft Expression Blend and EB GUIDE Studio Interface, written by my colleague Jan Bast and me, was just published at Embedded Computing Design.


EB in close cooperation with Microsoft developed an EB GUIDE Studio XAML plug-in which allows the combination of the EB GUIDE Studio state machine with XAML files.

With Silverlight, EB GUIDE Studio was enriched with a major, groundbreaking technology. At the same time, Silverlight was enriched with an automotive grade HMI development tool.
